Dr. Jennifer
English
By (author): Isabel Cabot
Auburn-haired Jennifer Faylan is skeptical of the talents of Dr. Walter King, the handsome new surgeon on the staff of Barnhart General Hospital, because of disparaging remarks he has made about women doctors. She changes her mind about him, however, in spite of his domineering manner, when his skill saves one of her patients.
Dr. Jennifer steers a middle course through the hospital politics and medical crises of Barnhart General, with her aunt, Dr. Hannah, typifying the old-fashioned general practitioner and Walter King, the ambitious career doctor whose surgical cases are statistics instead of people. Others in the cast are Mark Reed, a friendly psychiatrist who lives next door to Jennifer and her aunt; Dr. Pete Garedy and his sister, who is in search of romance; and Rod Cheever, the administrator, who tries to forestall temper tantrums between members of his staff in the operating room.
