Francesca Smith had planned a vacation trip to Massachusetts. But echoes from the past, echoes of mystery and love, induced her to stay at Hidden Inn in Moriarty, Connecticut. Francesca had lived in Moriarty with her parents many years ago. Then theyd abruptly moved away. Though her parents never talked about their life in Connecticut, Francesca sensed that something strange, something bad, had once happened there. It had something to do with a horse in the sky and a newspaper story.

When attractive, unpredictable Hugo Summerfield, grandson of the owner of Hidden Inn, tried to help Francesca unveil her family secrets, she fell in love with him, only to learn that he had some disturbing secrets of his own.
