Jennifer Munro is an author with three novels and seven non-fiction books to her name. She has an adult daughter Kate who was born with CHD2 deletion a rare genetic disorder that causes learning disabilities epilepsy and autism. She wrote Edward Pureheart and The Forever Children when she tried unsuccessfully to find entertaining and relevant stories for Kate. Childrens books are not relevant and there is nothing else. Adults with learning disabilities face challenges that children seldom do. The story of Edward Pureheart deals with some of those and makes them understandable and not so scary.Nothing lasts forever especially not people but everything will be alright again.Edward is reassuring and helpful. she says. Jennifer lives in Hampstead London and has built a special home for her daughter in Sutton called a Managed Living Environment.
