About John Braithwaite

John Braithwaite is a Professor in the Research School o f Social Sciences Australian National University. He has been Head o f Law there and coordinated interdisciplinary netw orks- Reshaping Australian Institutions (1992- 96) and the Regulatory Institutions Network (RegNet). He has been active in social movement politics representing community groups on the Economic Planning Advisory Council Chaired by the Prime Minister o f Australia between 1983- 87. Between 1985 and 1995 he was a part-time Commissioner with the Trade Practices Commission.
