About Dr. Marguerite TassiWilliam Shakespeare

William Shakespeare was an English poet and playwright widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist.  He is often called England's national poet and the Bard of Avon. His extant works include some collaboration consisting of about 38 plays 154 sonnets two long narrative poems and a few other verses the authorship of some of which is uncertain. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright.Dr. Marguerite Tassi has been a Shakespeare teacher scholar and theater reviewer for more than twenty years. She currently teaches in the English Department at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She has published two books with Susquehanna University Press one on the Elizabethan theater and the other on Shakespeare. Additionally she has written articles on Shakespeare and his contemporaries and presented her work at national and international conferences. Merce Lopez has illustrated many projects for different markets from design and cinema to editorial and book publishing. She lives in Barcelona Spain.Dr. Marguerite Tassi has been a Shakespeare teacher scholar and theater reviewer for more than twenty years.
