About

Dr. Konstantinos Papazoglou is the founder and director of ProWellness Inc. a psychology professional corporation as well as the principal founder of the POWER Project a non-profit public benefit corporation. He recently completed his postdoctoral appointment at Yale University School of Medicine. He earned his doctoral degree (PhD) in psychology (clinical - forensic area) as Vanier Scholar at the University of Toronto (UofT). He is a former Police Major of the Hellenic Police Force and European Police College and he holds a masters degree in applied psychology from New York University (NYU) as Onassis Scholar. Currently he is involved in community policing trauma-focused programs aimed to support victims of violent crimes. In addition he is affiliated researcher with the Loss Trauma and Emotion Lab at Teachers College Columbia University of New York. His research work focuses on stress trauma prevention and resilience promotion among police officers.  Dr. Katy Kamkar Ph.D. C. Psych. is a Clinical Psychologist who has dedicated nearly 17 years of her career to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto. In addition to her role at CAMH Dr. Kamkar holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry within the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. In 2022 she received the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) Award for Distinguished Contributions to Public or Community Service.   She demonstrates her commitment as the Co-Chair of the Global Law Enforcement and Public Health Association Inc. (GLEPHA) the Health and Wellness of Police and First Responders. She is presently a GLEPHA Fellow. She is an associate member of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP); and is within the Research Advisory Committee of CACP and the Police Psychologist Subcommittee of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Human Resources and Learning Committee. She is the Past Chair of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) Traumatic Stress Sector. Her contributions to the fields of trauma and resiliency moral injury and workplace mental health have garnered widespread acclaim both nationally and internationally. This recognition is evident in her numerous public speaking engagements and media appearances her collaborations with governmental bodies such as the ministries and Public Health Agency of Canada and her involvement with the House of Commons of Canada. Additionally she is frequently consulted as a subject matter expert and has contributed to refereed publications book chapters and non-peer-reviewed publications aimed at the general public.
