About
Dr. Ajita Singh is teacher researcher and exercise physiologist. She is Professor and former Head Department of Sports Science Faculty of Medicine Punjabi University Patiala. She holds Ph.D. degree in Exercise Physiology. Her main research interests are exercise physiology ergonomics and human factors sports ergonomics biomechanics of human movement occupational ergonomics and safety management. She is actively involved in extensive research activities and published in national and international peer reviewed journals. She is actively involved in renowned national and international societies like Punjab Academy of Sciences Nutritional Society of India Indian Society of Ergonomics Physiological Society of India and Physical Education Foundation of India. She contributes as Associate Editor and Reviewer for several international journals. She has presented her research as invited speaker in various national and international conferences in India and abroad. She has guided 6 PhD students and 14 students are still registered under her guidance. Dr. Rauf Iqbal is Professor of Ergonomics and Human Factors Engineering at the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) Mumbai. Currently he is Dean-Student Affairs of NITIE. His area of interest includes work system design engineering anthropometry and workspace design biomechanics of human movement occupational ergonomics and safety management. Dr. Iqbal has more than 125 publications including journal articles edited books book chapters and conference proceedings. He has guided 10 Ph.D. scholars. He is member of various international and national committees such as Foundation of Professional Ergonomics USA BRICS Plus Executive Committee for Human Factors and Ergonomics Council Member of Asian Council on Ergonomics and Design Ergonomics Sectional Committee for Bureau of Indian Standards and General Secretary of Indian Society of Ergonomics. He has completed various projects funded by the Government of India and International Labour Organization. He conducts training and consultancy for numerous industries in the areas of ergonomics work study work systems design and safety management. Prof. Vivek Khanzode is Professor of Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Systems at the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) Mumbai. He completed M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. His area of interest includes work system design manufacturing system engineering and design lean manufacturing simulation modeling and workplace ergonomics. Dr Khanzode is involved in training programs and consultancy assignments for corporates and public sector undertakings in the field of operations excellence productivity and efficiency improvement process capacity and bottleneck analysis and simulation modeling in manufacturing service and project operations. He is the member of Indian Society of Ergonomics and associated with HWWE conference for the past decade.
