About

Dr. Akash Katoch is currently working as an Assistant professor at the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CNSNT) Panjab University India. He received his M.Tech in Material Science & Engineering from Thapar University India (2009) and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Inha University Republic of Korea (2014). Later he worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Inha University (2014-2015) and became an Assistant Professor at Seokeyong University South Korea (2015). He is a recipient of the prestigious DST-Inspire faculty award awarded by the Department of Science and Technology Government of India and joined IIT Roorkee in 2015. Subsequently he was selected for the Assistant Professor position under the prestigious Faculty Recharge Programme by the University Grant Commission (UGC)-Delhi (2018) and currently giving his services at Panjab University. He is a renowned researcher and established academician. He has won many accolades and fellowships nationally and internationally. His current research focus includes chemical gas sensors and heavy metal ion detection. He has published 70 papers in peer-reviewed international journals 9 book chapters and 6 US patents.  Dr. Puneet Kaur received her Ph.D. degree from Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar following which she has worked as a project associate at CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh. Currently she is working as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Physics at National Cheng Kung University Taiwan (R.O.C.). Her research interests include the development of efficient and color-tunable phosphors ion implantation/irradiation energy storage and conversion photo electrocatalysis VOC degradation and strongly correlated complex oxide for various device applications. She has published more than 20 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and 03 book chapters. Dr. Kaur also serves as a guest editor and referee of renowned national and international journals. Dr. Kaur has been the recipient of several research grants from India and abroad including the prestigious INSPIRE scholarship and fellowship award by the Department of Science and Technology Government of India. Dr. Rahul received his doctoral degree from the Centre of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Panjab University Chandigarh India and is currently working at National Cheng Kung University Taiwan as a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist funded by NSTC Taiwan. He has research specialization in the fields of energy storage devices band alignment studies water splitting applications nanomaterials and thin film synthesis using Physical and Chemical Vapor Deposition. He has published more than 19 research papers and book chapters in peer-reviewed journals. His research interest primarily lies in interdisciplinary Materials Science. He has served as a reviewer for various journals of National and International repute and has been awarded several recognitions. He has received the prestigious INSPIRE fellowship funded by the Department of Science and Technology New Delhi India and TEEP@AsiaPlus funded by MOST Taiwan.
