About

Dr Laura Westra holds doctorates in both Philosophy and Jurisprudence and has taught in the fields of philosophy ethics and environmental law at several US Canadian and Italian universities. She is the founder of the Global Ecological Integrity Group and the author/editor of 24 books including Ecoviolence and the Law Environmental Justice and the Rights of Unborn and Future Generations Environmental Justice and the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Environmental Justice and the Rights of Ecological Refugees and Globalization Violence and World Governance.Dr Klaus Bosselmann born in Germany is Professor of Law and Director of the New Zealand Centre for Environmental Law at the University of Auckland. He is currently Chair of the IUCN Commission on Environmental Law Ethics Specialist Group. Among his numerous books are Im Namen der Natur When Two Worlds Collide Environmental Justice and Market Mechanisms Environmental Law for a Sustainable Society and The Principle of Sustainability.Dr Colin Soskolne is based in the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta in Edmonton Canada. He holds a doctorate in Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania. His prior training was in the country of his birth South Africa at the University of the Witwatersrand. His interdisciplinary background led to his editorial role in Sustaining Life on Earth: Environmental and Human Health through Global Governance. He has published over 350 other books papers and shorter communications. He currently serves as president of the Canadian Society for Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
