About Gisela WinklerMaren BodensteinSharlene Johnson

Sharlene Johnson is an experienced secondary school teacher. She was HIV AIDS Coordinator for the Ministry of Education Guyana and head of the Ministrys School Health Nutrition and HIV AIDS Department. A member of the Caribbean HIV and AIDS Coordinators Network she has advised on school materials for the region. Dr Gisela Winkler has taught in schools in a variety of countries. She has been a teacher trainer (both in-service and pre-service) in Southern Africa for many years has worked on HIV and AIDS education projects and published a number of books training manuals and learner materials that focus on HIV and AIDS. Maren Bodenstein has worked in teacher education over two decades. She designed and implemented a teacher training programme on HIV and AIDS in South Africa and has been involved with life skills programmes and publications.
