About Linda Chase

Linda Chase is a noted author and curator whose writings on Photorealism have helped define the movement. Her first interview with Richard Estes was published in 1972 in Art in America; in the ensuing decades she has interviewed him numerous times and written about his work in such publications as Art International The New Lugano Review and Opus International as well as in museum catalogues for exhibitions at Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art; Musée dArte Contemporain Montreal; Deutsche Guggenheim Berlin and Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza Madrid. Her books include Hypperrealism (with an introduction by Salvador Dalí) Photorealism at the Millennium (with Louis K. Meisel) and monographs on Photorealist painters including Ralph Goings John Salt and Clive Head.
