How Horses Help: Breaking the barriers of disability with equine-assisted therapy

English

By (author): Gerry Harrington

Gerry Harringtons intensely thoughtful and highly informative book draws on her long experience using equine assisted therapy to help educationally and emotionally disadvantaged young adults to find their feet and live independent lives once they have left school. Taking the reader through all the different kinds of mental and emotional challenges which can be addressed and transformed through EAT, and demonstrating how it works in practice through case studies and stories, Gerry Harrington opens a door to a world of potential for parents and carers to explore.

About Gerry Harrington

Gerry Harrington has previously worked as a registered nurse and certified midwife. However after having her own children and gaining British Horse Society examinations she followed her love of horses and worked at The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy in the New Forest for many years.
