About Valentin Lazea
Valentin Lazea has been with the National Bank of Romania since 1993. He attended a postgraduate course in Economics at Sussex University England. He specialized training in banking (MilanIstituto Giordano dell'Amore) and macroeconomics (Washington D.C.International Monetary Fund Institute). He served as the Secretary of State (Deputy Minister) at the Ministry of Public Finances between 19971998 President of the think-tank Romanian Center of Economic Policies between 20032021 and President of the Board of TRANSFOND an electronic payment company from 20042015. He has made regular appearances in the press and on the National Bank of Romania website. He is also coauthor of several collective books.
