About

Dr Guan is a Project Scientist at the University of California and Jet Propulsion Laboratory California Institute of Technology USA. He received his PhD in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science from University of Maryland USA. His interests lie mainly in high-impact weather and climate science the water cycle in the climate system and large-scale climate variability and trends. Dr Guan has won numerous awards including Top Downloaded Paper Geophysical Research Letters 2020; Climate Science Service Award California Department of Water Resources 2018; and the Ann G. Wylie Dissertation Fellowship University of Maryland College Park 2007.
