About Lucas Kohnke

Dr. Lucas Kohnke is a senior lecturer in the Department of English Language Education at The Education University of Hong Kong. He holds a doctorate in Education from the University of Exeter which explored educational technology in language teaching at the tertiary level with a special focus on the professional development of English language teachers. He has taught English as a foreign and second language and served as a teacher trainer for both pre- and in-service teachers in Sweden China Thailand South Korea the Sultanate of Oman and Afghanistan. Dr. Kohnke's main research interests lie in technology-supported teaching and learning and teacher professional development using emerging technologies. He has contributed over 60 articles to leading journals including Computers and Education: Artificial Intelligence Educational Technology & Society Education and Information Technologies ReCALL SYSTEM and RELC Journal. His diverse teaching areas span integrating technology into language classrooms artificial intelligence in education teacher training and English language teaching methodologies.
