About Barry Herniman

Barry Herniman is a full time artist who has been painting landscapes and seascapes for many years. His medium of choice is watercolours and he is particularly fond of painting landscapes but also feels right at home painting anything from portraits to steam locomotives.  He now travels extensively both home and abroad tutoring workshops and demonstrating to art clubs and societies and has had exhibitions in England Canada and the USA. Barry won the Artist of the Year Award for the SAA in 2001 and the Harper Collins Award Patchings 2000. He is a regular contributor to the Artist magazine.
