Richard Hoyt has a B.S. and M.S. in journalism from the University of Oregon and a Ph.D. in American studies from the University of Hawaii. He went on to teach journalism and writing courses at the University of Maryland and at Lewis and Clark College. He is the author of over 20 novels including Decoys and Trotsky’s Run.
