This book looks at many facets of the Kennet valley's motoring past including petrol stations and garages, specialist car restorers and transport cafes, aiming to show, and in some cases remind the reader, how much motoring has changed the way we live. The authors have spent several years researching this book and have interviewed a great number of people along the way. They have been allowed privileged access to family photo albums and old company archives, plus regional and national collections, and have presented their history to readers in a way that they hope is both informative and enjoyable.
