Four of them are so close in plot, character constellation and at times even language to their English originals that they can legitimately be considered \u003ci\u003eversions \u003c\/i\u003eof Shakespeare’s plays. This volume offers fully edited translations of two such texts: \u003ci\u003eDer Bestrafte Brudermord \u003c\/i\u003e\/ \u003ci\u003eFratricide Punished \u003c\/i\u003e(\u003ci\u003eHamlet\u003c\/i\u003e) and \u003ci\u003eRomio und Julieta \u003c\/i\u003e(\u003ci\u003eRomeo and Juliet\u003c\/i\u003e).
