About Edward KellerKELLER

EDWARD A. KELLER is professor of environmental geology at the University of California Santa Barbara where he holds a joint appointment with the Environmental Studies Program and the Department of Geological Sciences. Professor Keller''s research focuses on natural hazards including wildfire flooding and earthquakes. He is also evaluating the environmental impacts of ecotourism. Professor Keller received his doctorate from Purdue University in 1973; as a graduate student he wrote the first five chapters of the first edition of Environmental Geology. Professor Keller enjoys teaching and research and hopes his textbooks help students to appreciate geology and to assist them in becoming better and more informed citizens in our complex world.
