Know Your Rare Breeds

The UK is home to a wide variety of livestock breeds. Some of these can be seen throughout the country while others are extremely rare, victims of changes in farming methods, consumer tastes or simply unlucky circumstance. In this new book Jack draws our attention to 44 breeds in need of protection. They are all native to the UK and most of the breeds featured have less than 1,000 breeding females remaining.
