Collins Arabic Big Cat is a guided reading series for ages 3 to 11. The series is structured with reference to the learning progression of Arabic at nursery and primary schools researched especially for Collins. This carefully graded approach allows children to build up their reading knowledge of Arabic step by step.

Level 14 books build on level 13 by offering stories with more complex plots and with a greater number of chapters to encourage the development of reading stamina. Non-fiction texts use complex vocabulary and deal with challenging global themes. The style of language further reflects progression in the teaching of Arabic grammar, while still using largely familiar vocabulary and simplified concepts.
What is a carbon footprint? Why do we think that the climate is changing? How does climate change affect our lives? And most important of all, what can we do about it? In partnership with the children’s charity Plan, this book explores the topical issue of Climate Change and what it means through the experiences of children around the world.

Supported by dramatic photographs as well as diagrams and graphics to help visualise some of the tricky concepts this book can really help children come to grips with what climate change means.

A spider diagram on pages 30-31 help children to quickly identify and recap the action points for each country covered in the book.
