During the Rich Kids tours, Rusty met \u003cb\u003eSteve Strange\u003c\/b\u003e.\nThis encounter led to Rusty's concept for a club night at \u003cb\u003eBilly's, a Soho\nvenue\u003c\/b\u003e, catering to fashionable punks and showcasing the music they were\npassionate about. In 1979, they moved their club night to the \u003cb\u003eBlitz\u003c\/b\u003e in \u003cb\u003eCovent\nGarden\u003c\/b\u003e. As the resident DJ at the Blitz, Rusty played a \u003cb\u003epivotal role\u003c\/b\u003e\nin introducing \u003cb\u003eBritish, German, and Japanese electronica\u003c\/b\u003e to the British\nclub scene, essentially \u003cb\u003ecurating the soundtrack for the burgeoning New\nRomantic movement\u003c\/b\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eRusty Egan was instrumental in the formation of the band \u003cb\u003eVisage\u003c\/b\u003e\nwith Midge Ure.
