The novel begins many years in the future when Mayn, an exemplary spaceship officer, is cruelly banished to a remote asteroid. He records his survival schemes (between ingenious and desperate), but can only scour his memory for clues as to who and why...In Part Two, the scene moves to a criminal investigation on the mother ship named "Yggdrasil". As they tease out a compelling narrative from recalcitrant suspects (mysteriously, Mayn had more enemies than he thought) the Investigators are startled by new evidence which totally defies scientific logic. More is at stake than a conspiracy against one officer. Must hatred be forever? Is a life of healing possible?
After retiring from the Met. Office as Chief Forecaster, Jack McGinnigle has developed a second career as an author. He has written works of biography and non-fiction, and this is his second mystery novel. He is also a Methodist Lay Preacher based in Sutton Coldfield.
