Sian Hamilton has been a designer for over 20 years and has a BA (Hons) in 3D Design. Sian has always loved to sew. Introduced to sewing by her grandmother, who was a seamstress, she started sewing clothes for herself in her teenage years and then progressed to making custom wedding dresses for clients in her early career. These days, sewing is her hobby as she is the editor of 'Making Jewellery' magazine and the author of several books on jewellery making, including 'Flowers and Cats', available from GMC Publications.
Tansy Wilson is based in Somerset, UK and has 20 years' worth of experience in the craft industry. She teaches jewellery design at her local Further Education College. Tansy is a regular contributor to GMC's magazines and she has also had two jewellery books published by GMC Publications, 'Animals' and 'Earrings', both part of the 'Magpie' series.
