Rita Bateson was, until very recently, the Curriculum Manager for MYP Mathematics and Sciences at the International Baccalaureate® (IB) and continues to be involved in curriculum review. She is an experienced teacher of MYP and DP Mathematics and Sciences, and is Head of Mathematics in her current school. She has taught in many international schools in Europe as well as North America. Her interest include overcoming mathematics anxiety in pupils and STEM education. She is also the author of MYP by Concept 4&5 Mathematics.

Irina Amlin has been an MYP Mathematics educator and department head, the Chair and frequent presenter of the island-wide Bermuda Math Educators' Learning Network, and has been involved in IB curriculum development and assessment activities. Her primary area of focus is illustrating the relevance of mathematics in the everyday world around us, and guiding students to experience its applications across many disciplines. She is also the author of Mathematics for the IB MYP 1: by Concept.

About Irina AmlinRita Bateson

Rita Bateson was the Curriculum Manager for MYP Mathematics and Sciences at the International Baccalaureate® (IB) and continues to be involved in curriculum review. She is an experienced teacher of MYP and DP Mathematics and Sciences, and is Head of Mathematics in her current school. She has taught in many international schools in Europe as well as North America. In 2018, Rita helped set up Nord Anglia International School, Dublin. She is the Founding Head of Secondary. Her interest include overcoming mathematics anxiety in pupils and STEM education. As well as writing our MYP 1-3 resources, she is also the author of Mathematics for the MYP 4&5: by Concept.
