Gill Lewis has adored animals for as long as she can remember. From building a mini hospital for insects in her garden as a child, to working as a vet in the wilds of Africa, her life has been full of fascinating wildlife adventures. She lives by the sea in West Wales with her family and a menagerie of animals. She writes about our human relationship with animals and the wild world.

Pippa Curnick is a children's book author and illustrator. She studied at Camberwell College of Art, and then graduated from the University of Derby with a First Class degree in Illustration. Pippa has illustrated covers including The Boy at the Back of the Class by Onjali Q Raúf and Malory Towers by Enid Blyton, and written/illustrated her own picture books and young fiction, including The Big Freeze and the Indigo Wilde series. Her clients include Puffin, Hodder Children's Books, Usborne, Egmont and Harper Collins.
