A laugh-out-loud Easter eggstravaganza, There Was a Young Bunny who Swallowed an Egg from Kaye Baillie and award-winning illustrator Diane Ewen is the perfect springtime story for little ones!
Everyone's heard about the old lady who swallowed a fly, but now it’s time to meet a little bunny who, just as the Easter Egg Hunt is starting, swallows . . . an egg! And she doesn't stop there! Soon she's gobbled down a chick, a hot-cross bun, and a basket! What will she gobble down next?
A funny, cumulative rhyming story young children will love, packed with Easter chicks, eggs, buns, bees, and one very hungry little bunny – keep an eye on your chocolate eggs!
After earning a Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing, Kaye Baillie followed her passion for picture books and storytelling, committed to her goal of becoming a full time children’s author and has written several picture books, including There Was a Young Zombie Who Swallowed a Worm and There Was a Young Reindeer Who Swallowed a Present. She is an active member and the Assistant Co-ordinator of SCBWI Victoria, Australia and is a member of the Children’s Book Council of Australia. She lives in a coastal town in Australia with her family.
Diane Ewen is a British illustrator, born in Walsall, in the West Midlands. She has always been in love with art and graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a B.A. Honours Degree in illustration. Diane likes to create illustrations that are hand-drawn in pencil before painting in watercolour and acrylics prior to embellishing them using Photoshop but she also enjoys working directly on the computer screen creating her designs; constantly developing her style as she progresses. She is the illustrator of the critically acclaimed picture book, Coming to England, written by Floella Benjamin, as well as There Was a Young Zombie Who Swallowed a Worm, There Was a Young Reindeer Who Swallowed a Present and many more! She is the winner of the British Book Awards 'Book of the Year', the Jericho Prize, and the Queen's Knickers Award.
