Celebrate the beloved song in this illustrated version that shows every child they have a little light inside them.

In this illustrated retelling of the popular gospel song, each child has a little light inside them. When they are feeling confident and valued by others, their light shines brightly. When they're feeling low or worried, their light dims. But other children and teachers are on hand to help everyone's light shine! Follow two children as they have breakfast, go to school and make friends in this heart-warming celebration of a diverse community.

Sawyer Cloud is a freelance artist living in Madagascar, her native country. Her passion for kids' literature pushed her to turn it into a living as she just couldn't consider any other occupation than creating pictures for children. She has worked on many titles with most of the major publishers in kids publishing, including The Juneteenth Story (Becker&Mayer! kids, 2022), A Family Looks Like Love (Flamingo Books, 2022) and Under the Mango Tree (Sugar Apple Books, 2021). Sawyer loves sunny days and music. She dreams of owning a small cottage and traveling the world. Today she still lives in Madagascar with her family and her two pets, Arya the dog and Potter the cat.
