Permaculture gardener Connie Cao guides you though a curated selection of more than 40 cool-season and warm-season annuals and perennials (from amaranth greens, bok choy and daikon to loofah, pandan and yuzu), meaning it's easy to find produce that will thrive in your garden and climate.
Then, make the most of your abundant harvest with 50 fresh home-style recipes inspired by Connie's Chinese heritage: think edamame and pickled mustard greens, stir-fried Shanghai rice cakes, pork and chive dumplings, Chinese pumpkin cakes and winter melon tea.
Featuring photography and illustrations both beautiful and informative, Your Asian Veggie Patch has everything you need to get your garden flourishing and your mouth watering.

Connie Cao is a Melbourne-based urban permaculture gardener, homesteader, photographer and digital content creator. In her backyard, she grows a garden full of veggies, fruits, berries, cut flowers and beneficial plants. She believes that any-sized space can become a garden and encourages everyone to embrace the imperfect perfection of nature. She focuses on small-space friendly plants and loves to create productive, beautiful and sustainable gardens.
Connie formalised her interests in gardening with a Diploma of Sustainable Living and a Permaculture Design Certificate, having previously completed a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing).
When she's not in the garden, you'll probably find her reading about gardening, cooking and preserving from the garden or exploring other people's gardens. For Connie, a gardening journey is always an ongoing one, and she loves documenting and sharing this with others. See more: @connieandluna
