The spirit of "country" can be evoked in many ways but is an enduring and much-loved home style. This beautiful collection offers the reader practical knowledge and inspirational ideas to create their own very personal sense of country, wherever they live. The first section, Country Decorating, illustrates how you can create restful decorative effects around your home. The second section, Country Crafts and Flowers, draws inspiration from nature for a variety of decorations and arrangements created from fresh and dried flowers, and the final section, Country Cooking, is a collection of 50 seasonal recipes for mouthwatering country fare. Highly accessible, all the projects and recipes are illustrated step-by-step in colour, with over 750 photographs and beautiful decorative artworks.
Liz Trigg is a cook and home economist, who has created recipes for many leading good and women's magazines, including Good Housekeeping and House Beautiful. Tessa Evelegh is a writer, photographic stylist and craft artist specializing in home style, craft and garden ideas. She writes regular features on using plants and flowers in the home for several magazines, and has published a number of books. Stewart and Sally Walton have worked on television and in magazines. Stewart was one of the original team on the BBC's Home Front in the 90's and Sally wrote books to accompany the series. Sally now runs a successful eco-business called carry-a-bag making distinctive shopping bags from recycled and organic fabrics and Stewart is an artist who also designs and makes contemporary furniture from recycled wood.
