Susan Gubar is distinguished emerita professor of English and women’s studies at Indiana University. Together, they were awarded the Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement Award of the National Book Critics Circle. Lisa Appignanesi is the chair of the Royal Society of Literature.
