Callie and Martina are two mice with almost nothing in common. Callie is a punk rock star in the big city who could use a little peace and quiet. Martina is a singing farm mouse with dreams of making it in the big city. When they both show up at the Battle of the Bands, Callie and Mel get a taste of what the other has to offer. But is living another mouse’s life really all it’s cracked up to be? In this Far Out Fables adventure, Aesop's “The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse” is retold with a modern twist to create an exciting graphic novel for kids!
Brandon Terrel (B. 1978–D. 2021) was a passionate reader, Star Wars enthusiast, amazing father, son, uncle, friend and devoted husband. He worked as an assistant director and producer on numerous independent films and commercial productions, as well as writing for the “Choo Choo Bob Show.” Brandon received his undergraduate degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and his Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University. Brandon was a talented storyteller, authoring more than 100 books for children in his career. In Brandon’s memory, consider picking up a Stephen King novel or a comic book, re-watching The Mandalorian, reading an old Hardy Boys adventure, and saving an open seat for the next Star Wars movie. Alex Lopez is from Sabadell, Spain.  He became a professional illustrator and comic-book artist in 2001, but he’s been drawing ever since he can remember.  Lopez’s pieces have been published in many countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, Belgium, and Turkey.
