A forty-day spiritual journey of healing, faith, and transformation grounded in one pilgrim’s journey on the Camino de Santiago.

Join pilgrim Kevin Wittmayer as he embarks on the 500-mile trek across northern Spain on the Camino de Santiago. Blending travel entries, scripture, and theological reflection, Wittmayer invites you into a rhythm of prayer, vulnerability, and presence from the comfort of your favorite armchair. Each day’s entry explores a distinct moment on the trail—from solitude and contemplation to grace and companionship—drawing out the deeper movements of the Christian life. In this field guide that pairs a physical journey with spiritual exploration, you’ll find support and inspiration whether you are seeking, struggling, discerning, hoping, healing, or just wandering.

Kevin Wittmayer is an Episcopal priest and spiritual pilgrim with over three decades of ministry experience. Originally from Cedar Falls, Iowa, he earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business Administration before discerning a call to ordained ministry. After a career in banking, he attended Virginia Theological Seminary and was ordained in 1991. He is passionate about the power of pilgrimage having walked the Camino de Santiago, as well as pilgrimages to Jerusalem, Rome, Canterbury, and Mount Athos. He lives in Longview, Texas.
