Ellen Swandiak is a lifelong resident of New York. Her blog Hobnob Magazine (hobnobmag.com) reports on all her loves: food, drink, style, fun—and parties. Ellen can often be spotted, camera in hand, at stylish restaurants and bars, tasting events, and art openings, with her designer eye on the lookout for all that is clever.

Born and raised in Belgium, Katelijne De Backer left for New York City in 1997, to pursue a career in the contemporary art world. She moved to Brooklyn Heights in 2002 and was immediately smitten with her new neighbourhood. Katelijne is the director of The Armory Show, one of the world’s leading art fairs. She is also the author of Hidden Brooklyn (Luster Publishing).
