A New Leaf: Curated Houses Where Plants Meet Design is a celebration of the modern and stylish homes that reinvent the humble houseplant as a coveted design object.
The book spotlights 18 houses around the world (including United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Italy and Brazil), each illustrated with a selection of images of the entire home with particular emphasis on their plantlife. Each section includes an interview with the owners, walking the reader through the plant choices they made and the impact they had on their unique aesthetic.
Pip McCormac's informative text and Jen Haslam's expert curation make A New Leaf invaluable to interior design lovers and those seeking inspiration on how to incorporate plants in their lives.
Having been an interiors and lifestyle journalist for almost 20 years, Pip McCormac is now the editor of Livingetc, the UK's leading contemporary design brand. He has previously worked at ELLE Decoration, Red, Sunday Times Style and Grazia, and written for publications such as The Guardian, ES Magazine and Stylist. He recently relocated from London to Somerset, where he lives with several Monstera, cacti and a philodendron. This is his fourth book.
Jennifer Haslam is a UK-based Interiors Stylist and Creative Consultant. Passionate about creating beautiful compositions to produce striking imagery, she has spent the last 15 years working with global brands, international publishers as well as smaller start ups. With a keen interest in architecture and the way people live with design, her work has been featured in ELLE Decoration, Livingetc, and the Sunday Times to name a few. After many years living in London, she now lives in York with her husband Strider, two boys Arlo and Vinny, Sprollie dog Pip, and a small jungle of houseplants.
