Advances in Titicaca Basin Archaeology-I is the first in a series of edited volumes that reports on recent research in the south central Andes. Charles Stanish has worked in the Titicaca region for over 25 years in both Bolivia and Peru. He holds the Lloyd Cotsen Chair in Archaeology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Amanda B. Aldenderfer is dean and professor of social sciences, humanities, and arts at the University of California, Merced.
