This book provides a detailed cutting-edge technique of artificial intelligence that transforms the forensic and security landscape. It is organized into 5 parts: basic foundational principles, AI techniques for cybersecurity, AI in digital forensic, real-world cybercrime applications, and finally challenges, ethics, and future directions.
AI for Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics presents a structured and in-depth journey from the foundational concepts, technologies, and applications of AI in building resilient, intelligent, and trustworthy security systems. This book bridges theory, technology, and real-time practice for beginners to modern practitioners. It covers key topics including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep learning for threat detection, LLMs for phishing and threat intelligence, and RL for adaptive cyber defense mechanism. It also explores the necessity of deep learning and natural language processing to malware detection, intrusions identification, logs analysis, and digital crimes investigations with unprecedented speed and accuracy. The chapters provide the implementation details to address governance, privacy, ethics, and the looming challenges of post quantum cryptography. Through case studies, readers will gain foundational, practical, and futuristic knowledge and actionable insights to enhance cybersecurity operations, perform AI-empowered digital investigations, and develop intelligent systems that are resilient against evolving attacks.
This book is written for both beginners and advanced students working in the area of AI and cybersecurity. Also, it will be useful to policymakers, industry professionals, academics, and researchers in industries that make their prime contributions in the cybersecurity and digital forensics sectors.
