About Pavla Hanácková

Pavla Hanáková (1990-2021) was born in the Czech Republic. She came from a picturesque Moravian village surrounded by vineyards. She was an avid reader since early childhood and she had always longed to write. She was a graduate in English and Chinese from the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University Olomouc. Fate had determined that she made regular returns to her native tongue as a literary editor of childrens books for Albatros publishers. A keen traveler she drew inspiration wherever she went not least to feed another of her passionsfood and everything associated with it.Diarmuid Ó Catháin is an Irish illustrator and picture book maker. After obtaining a degree in visual communications he worked in the graphic design field before pursuing a career in illustration. With over ten years freelance Illustration experience Diarmuid has worked with a wide range of clients both Irish and international on a variety of projects from editorial and advertising to packaging and animation. He is always looking for new opportunities to collaborate and new visual challenges to sink his teeth into.
