Rebecca Schiller is an author, journalist and activist. She is co-founder and trustee of the human rights charity Birthrights, a regular contributor to the Guardian and works two acres in the English countryside to encourage wildlife and grow food for her family. People Power: Amazing Activists is her first book for children.
Sophie Beer is an award-winning illustrator/author living in Brisbane, Australia. She completed a dual degree in Law and Creative Industries with distinction at Queensland University of Technology but now works primarily in children's and editorial illustration. Revelling in colour, shape and texture, she lives by one simple rule: art should never be boring. When she's not illustrating and writing, she thinks a lot about plants, animals, music, books, and equality. Winner of the 2016 SCBWI Penguin/Random House Portfolio award.
