Two thousand years ago, Antioch on the Orontes River was the third most important city in the Roman Empire. Jørgen Christensen-Ernst studied Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and ancient Hebrew at Ankara University in Turkey and the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. He was previously an associate research fellow at Bosporus University in Istanbul, Turkey.
