This book is about the regional distribution, composition, structures, thermophysical characteristics, and dynamics of temperature changes of submarine permafrost based on Eurasiatic shelf data. It discusses a proposed new hypothesis of complete isolation of the Arctic Ocean during the glaciations.
Michael E. Vigdorchik is a senior research associate at the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research in Boulder, Colorado. He received his Ph.D. in geological and mineralogical sciences from Tallin-Moscow, USSR Academy of Sciences, in 1965.
