Geoffrey Howse was born in Sheffield. He was brought up in Elsecar and Hoyland on the fringes of the Fitzwilliam Wentworth Estate. He is an actor and writer and now lives in North London, but spends much of his spare time in Yorkshire. Geoffrey has also written Sheffield, Doncaster and Around Hoyland Nether in Sutton's Britain In Old Photographs series.
