Having inherited various fleets in Essex and Kent, Arriva serve a number of locations throughout these two counties. They also operate out of the former London Transport garage in Harlow and own the former municipal businesses of Colchester and Southend. This means that Arriva buses can be seen in a wide variety of locations in Essex, notably the Southend area, but also in Harlow, Chelmsford, Braintree and Colchester. In addition, they can be found in large areas of Kent. This book includes photographs of Arriva buses throughout their areas of operation in Essex and Kent since Arriva was formed out of the rebranding of the Cowie Group in the late 1990s. Arriva have a surprisingly varied fleet with a range of liveries on offer, including route branding, as well as some buses having worn commemorative heritage liveries.
David Moth is a keen photographer of many subjects, but mainly of buses and trains. This interest in buses and railways has led him to photograph both subjects throughout Britain. Other interests include Real Ale, science fiction novels, football and astronomy (particularly planets, exoplanets and Kuiper belt objects.) He is also very keen on progressive rock, old and new.
