Judy Frater is a social entrepreneur steeped in the world of contemporary textile artisans of Kutch, India, who founded Kala Raksha Vidhyalaya, the first design school for traditional artisans. Prior to her residence in India, she was associate curator of the Eastern Hemisphere Collections at the Textile Museum, in Washington, DC. She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
