One of the best-known female chefs in the UK, Monica Galetti was born in Samoa and raised in New Zealand. After 12 years working for Michel Roux Jr. at Le Gavroche, she left in 2015 to open her own London restaurant, Mere - now ranked 7th in the National Restaurant Awards.
