We all know the heroes of the recording industry: Sir George Martin, Al Schmitt, Nigel Godrich, Rick Rubin – people who seem larger than life. In our book, Recording Unhinged: Creative and Unconventional Music Recording Techniques, we imagined some big-name producers as gods from mythology. We envisioned famous recording engineers doing other types of engineering, and mixers as people who mix all kinds of things besides music. Okay, maybe we aren't taking ourselves all that seriously, and why should we, or you? This is a coloring book! We want nothing more than to give you the opportunity to draw all over your favorite audio icons.
