Does your child seem disinterested in school, lacking in enthusiasm or anxious about their work? In this perfect pick-me-up, head teacher Matthew Burton is here to get them motivated again.

From establishing routines, handling setbacks and dealing with anxiety, to skills for beating school stress and tapping into your potential, this is the one-stop guide for students who are in need of a bit of hope, some warm words of advice and a good old pep talk to get them going in school again.

Whether facing assessments, a big change or having to make up for lost time, this book is crammed with advice so that whenever school feels hard, readers will soon be back on track and raring to go.

Matthew Burton (Author)
Matthew (Mr) Burton is an inspirational headteacher, and star of Channel 4's multi-award-winning documentary series, Educating Yorkshire. His warmth, humour, style and energetic style of teaching endeared him to audiences the country over, and the incredible breakthrough moment with Musharaf Asghar and his stammer brought millions of TV and YouTube viewers to tears across the world. Now headteacher (and still an English teacher), he is committed to achieving the very best for every child, and to ensuring that barriers to opportunity - whatever they may be - are challenged, removed and banished, to allow every young person to be the very best they can be.

Chris Madden (Illustrator)
Chris Madden is a British illustrator; he currently lives in Manchester, UK with his wife and children. Since graduating from Stockport College with a degree in Design & Visual arts, his illustrations have appeared in many magazines and newspapers. Chris has a knack for bringing the human body to life on the page: other clients include The Lancet and Harvard Magazine.
