This book focusing on Metric fixed point theory is designed to provide an extensive understanding of the topic with the latest updates. It provides a good source of references, open questions and new approaches. While the book is principally addressed to graduate students, it is also intended to be useful to mathematicians, both pure and applied.
Dhananjay Gopal has a doctorate in Mathematics from Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur, India and currently Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics in S.V. National Institute of Technology, Surat, Gujarat, India. He is author and co-author of several papers in journals and proceedings. He is devoted to general research on the theory of Non linear Analysis and fuzzy metric fixed point. Poom Kumam received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Naresuan University. Now, he is the Associate Dean for Research and Networking, Faculty of Science, King Mongkuts University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and also the leading of Theoretical andComputational Science (TaCS) Center and director of Computational and Applied Science for Smart Innovation Cluster (CLASSIC). He served on the editorial boards of various international journals and also published more than 400 papers in Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) database. Furthermore, his research interest focuses on Fixed Point Theory and Optimization with related with optimization problems in both pure science and applied science. Mujahid Abbas has a doctorate in Mathematics from Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, Spain, earned post doctorates from Indiana University Blooming, USA and University of Birmingham, UK. At present, he is Professor in Department of Mathematics, Government College University (GCU), Lahore, Pakistan, Extraordinary Professor Department of Mathematics and AppliedMathematics, University of Pretoria (UP), Lynwood Road Pretoria-0002, South Africa, Distinguished Professor (Adjunct), King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arab, Honorary senior research fellow, University of Birmingham UK, Research collaborator of Nonlinear Analysis Research Group (NARG), Ton DucThang University, Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam and a member: International scientific support program (ISSP), King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His area of research is fixed-point theory, fuzzy logic and optimisation theory, on which he has published several papers in leading journals.
