Christine Countess von der Pahlen is one of the most influential voices in German travel journalism. As the head of the travel section at Madame magazine, she has travelled to over 100 countries in 30 years. Her all-time favourite, however, remains Italy. She adores the country’s unique cultural landscape, the melodious language, and above all, the vibrant joy of life that characterises its people. Mayk Wendt is an independent photographer working globally, with his works showcased in numerous exhibitions. He is also a member of the photojournalist association Freelens as well as the Swiss Association of Professional Photographers (SBF).
